Are you ready to make the switch to cruelty-free beauty products? It’s a journey that I’ve been on for a while now, and I have to say, it hasn’t always been easy. But when I find a product that I truly love, I commit to it like a penguin finding its mate.
Discovering that some of my favorite products test on animals has been a hard pill to swallow. Am I going to be one of those people who preaches about cruelty-free products but doesn’t practice what they preach? I hope not. I want to do better, and I believe that choosing more cruelty-free options is a step in the right direction.
But what about those cult-favorite products that we just can’t part with? Luckily, there are some amazing alternatives on the market that are cruelty-free. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites for you to consider. These are products that I personally love or have received rave reviews. Plus, they all fall within a similar price range to their non-cruelty-free counterparts.

Swap YSL Touche Eclat for Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector
I’ve been using the Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector, and let me tell you, it works wonders. While it doesn’t come in a handy pen like YSL Touche Eclat, it’s still an incredible product. It’s especially great if you have skin with pink undertones. You can apply it with your finger or a concealer brush, and a little goes a long way. Trust me, this is a fantastic alternative.

Swap Benefit Hoola Bronzer for The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer
If you love the cute packaging of Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer but want to save some money, then The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer is the perfect alternative. Not only is it £10 cheaper, but it’s also highly rated by Total Beauty. Personally, I never loved Hoola as much as others did. But if you’re pale like me, you might have better luck with Cover FX’s Bronzer in ‘Sunkissed’. It’s highly rated, cruelty-free, and will probably be my next bronzer purchase.

Some other fantastic options for cruelty-free lipsticks include Bare Minerals and Lipstick Queen. Trust me, these brands won’t disappoint.

Swap Dior Diorshow Iconic Mascara for Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara
Before researching for this article, I had no idea that Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara was such a cult favorite in the world of cruelty-free makeup. But apparently, it’s that good! Many beauty bloggers swear by it. While I’m currently hooked on Maxfactor Mascara (which is amazing but not cruelty-free), I’m on the lookout for new options. Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara might just be the answer.
